Demonstrating proficiency (>85%) in these simple exercises can improve manipulation of the robot in a clinical situation.  Periodic repetition of these basis skills can only serve to enhance underlying technical ability.  Residents and training physicians should achieve >85% score on 3 repetitions prior to moving to clinical training.
